Hector leaving the shelter and going home!

Could it be that 2020 would find Hector safe and settled in a new home? As 2019 dwindled to a close, it seemed unlikely. The tan beef boy had been our longest resident in the dog area for quite some time. Many other hard-to-place dogs got adopted into loving forever families, but Hector did not. Could it be his breed stereotype as a “Pit Bull mix”? Perhaps. His blocky body type and large size? Maybe. Whatever the reason, they were shattered when his new dad walked into the shelter. As he put it, he “could not get Hector off of his mind.”

And now, he does not have to. Because Hector is safe and snuggled into his home. After waiting for over three years, Hector went to his new home on December 30th. Congratulations, Hector! You and your new family deserve the best!
